Meritus AI, an India-based company specializing in AI-powered education solutions, has announced a large-scale teacher training initiative aimed at equipping 72,000 educators across Asia with artificial intelligence skills.

Developed in partnership with a unnamed multinational corporation, the program focuses on AI integration in education, providing teachers with training in machine learning, prompt engineering, generative AI, and big data applications.


Effat University develops AI model to predict student performance and improve academic support

Researchers at Effat University have developed a machine learning-based software tool that predicts students' future academic performance.

Dhekra Alkaf, Faigah Bajammal, and Manal Asrar designed the system to support academic advisors in identifying students who may require additional support, enabling institutions to intervene early and allocate resources more effectively..


Canva launches free AI in the Classroom Certification to help teachers integrate AI into learning

Canva has introduced AI in the Classroom, a free, self-paced certification designed to help teachers integrate AI-powered tools into their lessons.

The course, which can be completed in 60 minutes, provides educators with strategies to enhance learning, streamline lesson planning, and engage students using AI.

Kahoot! has announced a partnership with Japanese company Sanrio, to introduce a collection of free educational games featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kerokerokeroppi, and other characters.

The games, designed for children and families, will be available on Kahoot!’s platform and mobile apps for iOS and Android.
