Kahoot! and Sanrio join forces to launch free educational games featuring Hello Kitty

Kahoot! has announced a partnership with Japanese company Sanrio, to introduce a collection of free educational games featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kerokerokeroppi, and other characters.

The games, designed for children and families, will be available on Kahoot!’s platform and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

The collaboration aims to support the development of skills such as communication, collaboration, and cultural awareness by integrating Sanrio characters into interactive learning experiences.

The new content is intended to enhance classroom engagement and at-home learning.

Growth in Japan’s digital learning market

Kahoot! has reported increased adoption in Japan, with over 60 million learning participants in the past year, reflecting a 70% year-on-year growth. The company has also stated that demand for student-led learning has also risen, with the platform is engaging with schools and universities through Japan’s GIGA School initiative to support digital education.

Student-led sessions have doubled in the past year, indicating increased usage of our platform for learning.
