Subak’s new Changemaking Programme connects climate action with data, policy, and AI
New initiative focuses on data, policy, and communication skills to empower future changemakers
Subak, a global climate incubator, has launched its Changemaking Programme to support individuals and organizations driving systemic action in the climate sector.
The program is open to a range of participants, including graduates, academics, postgraduates, private sector professionals, and not-for-profit climate advocates.
Developing climate leadership through multi-disciplinary training
The Changemaking Programme will cover four core themes. Participants will explore how to influence public policy and run campaigns at both the UK and global levels, focusing on navigating political landscapes and advocating for climate-related change. Alongside this, the program will examine how open data, transparency, and artificial intelligence can inform decision-making and strengthen impact in climate action.
Another area of focus is media and communications. Participants will develop skills in storytelling and messaging, drawing on techniques from journalism, the arts, and advocacy to shift public narratives on climate issues. The final strand will center on leadership development, helping participants understand how to foster organizational change through regenerative practices and collaborative models.
Participants will be supported to design policy strategies, develop community-based projects, and lead organizational change initiatives.
Pranuthi Chander, Chief Operating Officer at Subak, says: “At Subak we believe transformational change happens when we embrace regenerative paradigms, viewing changes as interconnected, living networks—rather than isolated fragments.
“This perspective underpins our Changemaking Programme, where participants will explore how ideas take root, how influence spreads, and how deep collaboration fuels meaningful action.”
Maisie Kemp, Changemaking Programmes Associate at Subak, adds: “We’re so excited to be launching our pilot Changemaking Programme. The curriculum has been built on the collective wisdom and experience of our community of not-for-profits.
“We’re inviting a new cohort of climate changemakers to step into a different kind of learning experience. Through the combination of data, policy and shifting narratives—participants will not only gain skills, but transform the way they work.”
Applications for the Changemaking Programme close on Monday 21 April.
