India’s Meritus AI plans to train 72,000 teachers in AI-powered education across Asia

Meritus AI, an India-based company specializing in AI-powered education solutions, has announced a large-scale teacher training initiative aimed at equipping 72,000 educators across Asia with artificial intelligence skills.

Developed in partnership with a unnamed multinational corporation, the program focuses on AI integration in education, providing teachers with training in machine learning, prompt engineering, generative AI, and big data applications.

Meritus AI develops AI-driven educational tools, digital learning platforms, and teacher training programs to support the adoption of emerging technologies in education. The company collaborates with schools and institutions to implement AI-enhanced teaching methods and curriculum development.

The initiative also includes localized AI curricula, AI-powered teaching methods, and strategies for inclusive education. Schools will receive AI tools, robotics kits, and interactive learning platforms to support implementation.

Program structure

The training program includes:

  • Technical AI training – Educators will receive instruction in data visualization, machine learning models, and AI-driven content creation.

  • Special needs education – AI tools will be incorporated to improve accessibility for students with diverse learning needs.

  • Certification – Teachers will earn industry-recognized AI teaching credentials.

  • School AI integration – Institutions will receive resources to establish AI labs, coding clubs, and other digital tools.
