Skillsoft launches new AI Compliance Suite to tailor risk-based training for organisations

Skillsoft has launched a new compliance training solution to help organisations tailor their training to meet the specific regulatory needs of their workforce.

The new Skillsoft Compliance Suite leverages AI technology to personalise training programmes based on individual roles, geographic location, and required regulations, ensuring employees receive content relevant to their responsibilities.

The compliance landscape is becoming increasingly complex, with businesses facing tighter budgets, staffing shortages, and new regulatory demands. Traditional compliance training, often designed with a one-size-fits-all approach, has struggled to meet the diverse needs of organisations. According to research, only 37% of leaders are satisfied with their business’s ability to develop skills that effectively reduce risk.

Skillsoft’s Compliance Suite is designed to address this challenge by offering a flexible, risk-based approach to learning that can be customised to suit the specific needs of each employee. With features like Dynamic Content, the Suite allows administrators to build learning programmes that target the skills and regulations most relevant to each role within an organisation.

Asha Palmer, SVP Compliance Solutions at Skillsoft, explained the rationale behind this tailored approach:

“We view risk-based learning as the gold standard for compliance, driven by stricter laws and regulations, and the need for effectiveness and efficiency. We're leveraging emerging technologies to deliver a hyper-personalised experience where learners receive content tailored to their ‘risk profile’ – including their role, career path, and state or country's mandates.”

One of the significant updates within the Compliance Suite is its integration with Skillsoft Percipio, the company's learning platform. This integration allows organisations to manage all their learning solutions in one place, streamlining administration and offering new tools, such as multi-language course assignments and Learning Management System (LMS) connectors.

In addition to the integration, the platform includes Risk Dashboards that enable administrators to track the progress and effectiveness of compliance programmes. These dashboards provide detailed insights into learner engagement, completion times, and skill assessment scores, allowing companies to prioritise and address the most significant risks within their organisation.

Another aspect of the new platform is its focus on Emerging Risks & Laws. The expanded curriculum now covers topics such as the EU AI Act and Canada’s Law 25, providing companies with the knowledge to navigate these new compliance challenges effectively.

Skillsoft’s compliance training also incorporates AI-Powered Learning through its coach, Skillsoft CAISY. This feature provides interactive scenarios where employees can practise handling real-world compliance situations, such as protecting personally identifiable information (PII) and identifying potential bribery situations, all within a safe, controlled environment.

The solution has already received positive feedback from users. Lori Thompson, Director of Human Resources at Lee Enterprises, highlighted the system’s efficiency:

“With employees serving 73 markets in 26 states, each having a unique set of compliance training requirements, the Skillsoft Compliance Suite is invaluable for our company. Dynamic Content allows us to easily manage the complexities of different state regulations and deliver the right training to the right employees at the right time.”

Palmer emphasised the importance of maintaining an up-to-date curriculum and providing effective compliance training:

“Coupled with Skillsoft's best-in-class compliance curriculum that ensures customers stay up to date on emerging trends and regulations, we've created a far better experience for learners and administrators.”
