Guild expands learning platform with acquisition of Nomadic and launches Guild Talent Advantage

Guild has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Nomadic Learning, a capability academy company, as part of its expansion strategy.

The acquisition will see Nomadic's offerings integrated into Guild’s platform, enhancing its education and skilling solutions for employers. The initiative is accompanied by the launch of Guild Talent Advantage, a new product suite aimed at addressing talent transformation priorities using AI-powered insights.

Guild’s acquisition of Nomadic will be integrated into its new Guild Academy product, a collaborative learning platform combining peer interaction, practical applications, and expert guidance. The academy will utilise Nomadic’s existing curriculum, delivered alongside Guild’s curated Learning Marketplace, to provide tailored learning solutions for organisations.



Global singer Usher and Clear Channel Outdoor partner with Afterschool Alliance for 25th Lights On Afterschool

Usher’s New Look, founded by Grammy-winning artist Usher is partnering with Clear Channel Outdoor and the Afterschool Alliance to promote the 25th annual Lights On Afterschool campaign nationwide via digital billboards in the USA.

Anthology leverages AI and AWS to enhances student enrollment and retention services

Anthology has announced an enhancement to its student support services, integrating artificial intelligence capabilities powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Amazon Expands Just Walk Out technology to 200+ stores, including college campuses, with advanced AI integration

Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology is now available in 200+ stores globally. The checkout-free shopping solution can be found in locations on the likes of college campuses, and in stadiums, airports, and hospitals.

Girls Make Games scholarship fund announces 2024 cohort, supporting women and non-binary students in gaming

The Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund (GMGSF) has announced the second cohort of recipients for its four-year college scholarship programme. 

Established in 2022, the fund supports women and non-binary students pursuing careers in the gaming industry by providing financial support and professional development opportunities.

Each scholarship recipient will receive a $10,000 grant over four years, with $2,500 distributed annually. The programme is sponsored by Humble Bundle, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Take-Two Interactive


Prodigy Learning and Minecraft Education introduce new cyber security credential for students

Prodigy Learning, an Ireland-based education technology company, has announced the launch of its new ‘Cyber in Minecraft’ credential programme in partnership with Minecraft Education.  

The curriculum consists of three units covering digital citizenship, networking, and security. At the end of the course, students take a capstone exam, and those who pass receive a Cyber in Minecraft certificate and a digital badge.

Andrew Flood, Chief Executive Officer of Prodigy Learning, commented:
