Multiverse expands leadership with appointments of Baroness Martha Lane Fox and Jillian Gillespie

Multiverse has announced the appointment of Baroness Martha Lane Fox to its board of directors, along with Jillian Gillespie as Chief Financial Officer.

The additions come as the edtech company expands its focus on addressing global skills gaps, particularly in AI and technology.

Rising demand for AI courses in UK universities shows 453% growth as students adapt to an AI-driven job market

The demand for artificial intelligence courses in UK universities has surged dramatically over the past five years, with enrollments increasing by 453%, according to a recent study by Currys, a UK tech retailer. 

The study, which analyzed UK university admissions data and surveyed current students and recent graduates, reveals how the growing influence of AI is shaping students' educational choices and career paths.


Goddard Systems appoints Deborah Thomas as Chief HR Officer to lead talent strategy

Goddard Systems (GSL), the manager of The Goddard School franchise network, which provides early childhood education across the United States, has appointed Deborah Thomas as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective immediately.

New VR game DIG VR launches, highlighting demand for construction education in UK schools

Yesterday marked the launch of DIG VR, a new virtual reality simulation game developed by Wired Productions and Just Add Water for the Meta Quest VR headset.

DIG VR offers users a realistic experience of operating an excavator on a virtual construction site, aiming to introduce younger and more diverse audiences to career possibilities within the construction industry.


Western Sydney University and MindChamps join forces to ‘lift’ early childhood education standards

Western Sydney University and MindChamps, an early education provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on improving early childhood education, workforce development, and global education pathways. 

Distinguished Professor George Williams AO, Vice-Chancellor and President of Western Sydney University, stated:

"Collaborating with MindChamps will allow us to nurture the next generation of early childhood educators, provide tailored educational pathways, and address workforce shortages."


US election drives surge in TEFL teaching course enrollments as Americans seek overseas opportunities

Following Donald Trump’s landslide victory in last week’s US election, The The TEFL Org | World's most accredited TEFL course provider , a British teacher training organization, has reported a significant spike in interest from American customers. 

Andy Healy, Managing Director of The TEFL Org, commented on the increased demand from American customers. “Since last week’s election, our Customer Support team has been inundated with queries from people in the US, seemingly keen to avoid a second Trump term,” he said.
