University of Phoenix unveils skill development pathways for Talent Management and Workplace Wellness
The University of Phoenix has announced two new skill development pathways—“Talent Management” and “Workplace Wellness: Awareness and Action”—to address the growing demand for healthier workplaces and future-ready talent pools.
The new programs, part of the Professional Development Skills Center, are designed to equip HR teams, leaders, and employees with practical tools for managing talent and improving workplace well-being.
According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2023, talent management ranks 8th among organizational priorities for reskilling and upskilling between 2023 and 2027, with workplace wellness recognized as vital for employee retention and productivity.
Details of the pathways
Workplace Wellness: Awareness and Action: This 11-hour program covers emotional safety, mental health advocacy, and stress management. Participants will develop skills such as recognizing mental health challenges, cultivating resilience, and promoting effective communication.
Talent Management: A 5-hour course focused on succession planning, employee development, and retaining talent. Featured skills include strategic workforce planning, optimizing talent budgets, and attracting top talent.
The courses are delivered online via the university’s learning platform, offering flexibility for working adults. Participants receive certificates of completion and have one year to complete the programs at their own pace.
Mukund Sudarsan, Vice President and General Manager of Professional Development at the University of Phoenix, stated:
“Our new pathways are designed to support workplace wellness and talent management by providing practical and flexible training solutions. “These areas are not just future needs, but present realities that must be addressed to thrive. Investing in them today sets the stage for long-term success and resilience.”
