Saras AI Institute launches scholarship contest for Utah students in AI education
Saras AI Institute, the world’s first higher education institute dedicated exclusively to artificial intelligence, has announced a scholarship contest for students in Utah.
The contest will award one full-ride scholarship for an associate degree in AI and two half-ride scholarships for runners-up.
The contest is open to current and prospective students and invites applicants to submit essays exploring the future of AI. The submission deadline is January 10, 2025, with winners to be announced shortly afterward. Students can learn more and apply online at Saras AI Institute’s website.
The scholarship program offers financial support to Utah-based students, aiming to eliminate financial barriers to AI education. The full-ride scholarship will cover tuition and required course materials for an associate degree, while the half-ride scholarships will cover 50% of tuition costs.
Applicants are required to respond to essay questions exploring their inspiration for pursuing AI, their vision for the role of AI in solving global challenges, and their personal experiences with technology or creativity. Submissions will be evaluated by a selection committee based on creativity, clarity, and alignment with the institute’s mission.
Saras AI Institute, which launched in October 2024, offers associate and bachelor’s degrees in AI with a curriculum designed to prepare students for high-demand roles like AI/ML Engineer and Data Scientist. The programs emphasize ethical and responsible AI practices, hands-on capstone projects, and industry alignment.
Anil Singh, founder and president of Saras AI Institute, said:
“At Saras AI Institute, we believe in empowering students to dream big and create lasting impacts through AI. This scholarship contest is a chance for ambitious students to showcase their creativity and passion while earning an opportunity to transform their futures through innovative AI education.”
