University of Arizona and Springboard launch online tech bootcamps for career advancement
The University of Arizona’s Continuing & Professional Education (CaPE) and online learning platform Springboard have introduced five new online bootcamps focused on key technology skills.
The programs are designed to help working professionals and career changers develop competencies in high-demand areas such as data analytics, data science, machine learning, UI/UX design, and coding.
Enrollment is currently open for cohorts beginning November 4 and December 9, 2024.
Program structure and purpose
Each bootcamp, offered through the partnership between CaPE and Springboard, is structured to support a flexible, self-paced learning environment with one-on-one mentorship from industry professionals. Participants will engage in hands-on projects, building a portfolio that showcases their skills for potential employers.

Curriculum and support resources
The five bootcamps focus on specific fields, including:
Data Analytics: Skills include SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Python for data analysis and presentation.
Data Science: Covers statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization using Python and R.
Machine Learning & AI: Offers training in neural networks, deep learning, and tools like TensorFlow.
UI/UX Design: Provides skills in user-centered design, wireframing, and prototyping with tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.
Coding: Covers front-end and back-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React and Node.js.
The bootcamps are designed for completion in six to nine months, depending on each learner's pace, with an expected time commitment of 15–20 hours per week. Alongside technical training, each program includes career coaching for job search strategies, resume development, and interview preparation.
Upon completing a bootcamp, participants will earn a certificate from the University of Arizona CaPE, enhancing their professional credentials in the technology sector.
