Unite Students integrates Lavanda PMS across 68,000-bed portfolio to improve student experience

Unite Students, the largest provider of student accommodation in the UK, has formed a strategic partnership with prop-tech platform Lavanda to integrate its property management system (PMS) across its extensive 68,000-bed portfolio.

Lavanda, a company specialising in property technology solutions, provides a comprehensive PMS tailored to the needs of large-scale property management. The team-up is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of Unite Students' 151 properties, which are spread across 23 university towns and cities in the UK.

By implementing Lavanda's system, Unite Students intends to improve its internal operations and the overall experience for the students residing in its accommodation.

Lavanda’s platform's API-first approach is a key component of this partnership. It allows Unite Students to deliver a highly customisable and efficient front-end experience through its own app. This integration will enable students to access important information easily, communicate with management, and engage in community activities within their residences.

In a LinkedIn post, Frederik Lerche-Lerchenborg, CEO of Lavanda, expressed his pride in the partnership: "I am incredibly proud to announce that Unite Students, the UK’s largest provider of student accommodation, has selected Lavanda as their core property management system (PMS) across their 68,000-bed portfolio."

Lerche-Lerchenborg emphasised the impact this partnership will have on Unite’s operations and the student experience. "Our market-leading enterprise platform will streamline Unite’s operations, enhance the online customer journey, and power a step change in the student experience," he stated.

The collaboration will integrate Lavanda’s powerful OpenPMS integrations and real-time business intelligence tools. "Together, we are set to deliver unprecedented value to both staff and residents," Lerche-Lerchenborg added.

He also extended his gratitude to those involved in making the collaboration possible, naming several key individuals: "Thank you to everyone involved for making this collaboration possible, there is a long list but in particular Joe Lister, Tom Ellis, Michael Burt, Karan Khanna, and Mark Lockton."

Lerche-Lerchenborg concluded his post by highlighting the forward-looking nature of the collaboration: "Together, we are shaping the future of student accommodation!"
