Transact Campus releases summer update for IDX platform to improve campus management

Transact Campus, a campus tech provider, has announced the summer update of its cloud-based platform, Transact IDX.

The release introduces new features to support campus management, security, and user experience for colleges and universities.

Transact IDX is designed to streamline campus workflows and improve productivity.

Rasheed Behrooznia, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Campus ID at Transact, emphasised,

“With IDX we are continuously delivering advanced features and new innovations to our cloud-native platform. The Transact IDX® Summer release is particularly exciting because it marks a milestone with new features that together deliver the most powerful campus management, seamlessly providing credentials, payments, and security throughout colleges and universities.”

Key Features in the New Release

The summer release of Transact IDX® brings several significant updates:

  • Credential Management: Enhances security and administrative efficiency by allowing controlled distribution and management of credentials.

  • Meal Plan Management: Simplifies the creation and management of meal plans, integrating components like weekly meals, guest meals, and stored value.

  • Security Integration: Offers real-time cardholder data and error monitoring, integrating seamlessly with certified access control systems.

  • Accessibility: Engages in continuous accessibility testing and leverages assistive technologies to ensure an inclusive user experience. An annual Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is published to validate this commitment.

Integration and User Experience

This update also expands the platform’s integration capabilities, supporting a network of over 200 partners. The enhanced integration technologies allow for easier third-party integrations.

The Transact IDX platform facilitates a cashless environment for students, enabling them to use a single card or mobile credential for various campus activities, such as purchasing meals, doing laundry, paying for printing, and accessing vending machines.

Behrooznia concluded, "Think of our system as the backbone of a thriving campus ecosystem, and our solutions help bridge all users, connecting them to a future-ready, modern, mobile, and user-friendly experience. I’m proud of our dedication to optimising campus experience, whether through accessibility or the adoption of innovative technologies, and I’m thankful for our opportunity to bring these technologies to our clients."
