Texas A&M University eSAIL unit selects YuJa video platform and hardware for digital education

Texas A&M University’s Engineering Studio for Advanced Instruction & Learning (eSAIL) unit has selected the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform and Hardware Hubs after a successful trial. They will form the backbone of its video content management solution, which is designed to help faculty easily design and rollout distance learning courses and programs.

The YuJa Hardware Hub will be used in dozens of classrooms at the Texas A&M University core sites in the southern US state, enabling simultaneous lecture capture and live streaming of multisource content. There is also a remote device management capability, touch panel integration into existing systems, and other media engagement features designed to grab the attention of anyone accessing the University’s remote learning options.

eSAIL, which provides professional support for faculty undertaking distance education, was seeking a cloud-native platform with seamless video capabilities and a robust hardware capture solution to work in a variety of room setups. It chose Yula because after a successful trial last year, the Enterprise Video Platform proved it provides the desired plug-and-play deployment capability in complex environments, plus its comprehensive fleet management capabilities and easy integration were a bonus.

The video platform allows instructors to create content using both software and browser-based capture tools, while maintaining feature parity across all operating systems. Faculty can leverage the aforementioned automated Hub lecture capture ability and use flexible reporting tools to track the engagement levels and effectiveness of their modules.

“YuJa’s Video Platform and Hardware Hubs are designed to work seamlessly together to provide comprehensive and scalable video capabilities,” explains Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at the vendor, YuJa Inc.

“We're excited to support the Texas A&M eSAIL program’s commitment to innovative educational technology solutions and pleased to work with an organization that has consistently led digital innovation initiatives across the institution.”
