Quartr partners with Cambridge Student Investment Fund to boost finance education

Quartr has entered into a partnership with the Cambridge Student Investment Fund (CamSIF), a student-led investment society at Cambridge University.

The collaboration marks Quartr’s first engagement with a student organisation, with plans to integrate the Quartr Pro platform into CamSIF's educational and research initiatives.

CamSIF, which focuses on stock research, networking, and fund management, will offer its approximately 600 members access to Quartr Pro.

The research tool is widely used by hedge funds, asset managers, equity research departments, and investor relations professionals.

Quartr and CamSIF hope to enhance students' learning experiences and improve their practical skills in finance and investment by providing this resource.

The Cambridge Student Investment Fund is the most active student-led finance society at Cambridge University. The organisation offers students opportunities in finance through sustainable growth and a variety of activities, including investment research and fund management.

The fund has achieved a PnL of 8.74% and operates sector-specific portfolios through a structured investment process. CamSIF also hosts a portfolio management competition to enhance sector team engagement and foster community among its members.

Each sector team in CamSIF is assigned a simulated trading account, where they manage up to five long/short positions, updated weekly under the guidance of Portfolio Managers. Weekly investment pitches from sector teams are presented for inclusion in the general portfolio, followed by a decision-making process involving votes from all members. Successful pitches are incorporated into CamSIF’s aggregate portfolio.

Nikola Milojkovic, President of the Cambridge Student Investment Fund, expressed his excitement about the new partnership:

“The entire team at CamSIF is incredibly excited about this partnership and the growth it will drive. Access to such an advanced tool in market research will undoubtedly aid our analysts and portfolio managers in formulating a successful portfolio.

“This, alongside the familiarisation with broader market activity that Quartr is able to provide, means this partnership is one contributing meaningfully to the future of the financial industry.”
