Purdue Global partners with Air Transport Services Group to offer education benefits for employees
Purdue Global, the online university of Purdue University designed for working adults, has signed an educational alliance agreement with Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), a major provider of freighter aircraft leasing and air transportation services.
The partnership aims to make higher education more accessible for ATSG employees and support ATSG’s workforce development goals.
Tuition reductions and credit transfers available
The agreement provides ATSG employees and their immediate family members with a20% reduction in tuition for all Purdue Global undergraduate programs and certificates. For graduate programs, graduate certificates, and the Doctor of Education (EdD) in Leadership and Innovation, the discount is 14%.
ATSG employees can also accelerate their progress by receiving credit for prior learning and experience. FAA-certified aviation mechanics can transfer up to 77 credits toward an undergraduate degree. Those with only the “A” or “P” certification may transfer up to 57 or 52 credits, respectively.
“We are thrilled to offer this fantastic opportunity for our workforce to advance their careers by earning degrees and certificates conveniently and affordably,” said Mike Berger, chief executive officer of ATSG. “This agreement further underscores our commitment to enhancing workforce readiness and lifelong learning, particularly in the aviation industry.”
Support for working adults
Purdue Global provides an online format tailored to working adults, offering a range of associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs. The university also provides tuition reductions for active duty service members, veterans, and their spouses, along with extended support for ATSG employees and their families.
“We are excited to work with ATSG in providing education benefits and programs to their employees and families,” said Sara Sander, dean and vice president of Purdue Global’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. “We know employers are looking for ways to provide education opportunities to build and equip a highly trained workforce, as well as help employees earn a degree and advance in their careers.”
