PowerSchool has announced new partnerships with schools in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Lebanon.

The partnerships reflect a broader global trend of integrating AI into educational systems. PowerSchool’s solutions, including tools like PowerBuddy and MyPowerHub, are designed to support personalised learning and improve student engagement.

"We are thrilled to see the strong demand for our solutions, particularly our most recent AI-tools like PowerBuddy and MyPowerHub across the Middle East and Africa. Given our deep investment in the region we are uniquely positioned to provide best-in-class solutions tailored to educators that will enable them to deliver high-quality education for generations to come," said Stewart Monk, Senior Vice President and General Manager International at PowerSchool.

"In our conversations with schools in the Middle East and Africa, we found that successful educational reform requires data-driven, collaborative leadership. Many schools in the region still operate under traditional systems, but there is a shift towards competency-based learning and embracing advanced technologies, and we are excited to be part of this transformation."

In the UAE, GEMS Al Khaleej International School in Dubai and Maplewood Canadian International School in Abu Dhabi have adopted PowerSchool’s systems. These include the Student Information System (SIS), PowerBuddy, and other tools aimed at streamlining data management and supporting paperless processes.

Maplewood Canadian International School is the first in the UAE to use PowerBuddy, an AI-powered assistant that provides personalised insights and engagement tools for students, teachers, and parents.

In Lebanon, Al Bayan School has integrated PowerSchool SIS and PowerBuddy to enhance its educational management system. According to Hussein Abdel Sater, Vice General Manager of Albayan Schools, “In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing reliance on technology in education, our school initiated a thorough search for a partner that would comprehensively meet our needs,” After a rigorous evaluation process, PowerSchool was identified as the optimal vendor solution that aligns seamlessly with our educational vision.”

He continued, “We are enthusiastic about the potential benefits their solutions offer, anticipating that they will enhance our administrative processes, streamline communication, and ultimately support our commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience for our students, teachers, and parents. By choosing PowerSchool, we believe that we can maintain our position at the forefront of educational innovation.”

In Egypt, Salahaldin International School has also adopted PowerSchool’s suite of solutions to update its systems, which lacked analytics and data dashboards. The school now uses PowerSchool SIS, Analytics & Insights, and PowerBuddy to create a unified education management system.

PowerSchool established its headquarters in Dubai in 2023, recognising the growing demand for educational technology solutions in the region. The company also introduced an Arabic version of its platform, which includes features such as right-to-left user interface orientation and the Hijri calendar.

PowerSchool supports over 60 million students in more than 90 countries globally. The company’s tools are designed to centralise access to student data, enhance security, and improve student performance through AI-driven personalised education.
