Pixel Global and The Skills Network launch skills bootcamp to diversify UK procurement sector

Pixel Global, a company specialising in procurement and sourcing in the UK, has announced a partnership with The Skills Network, the UK's largest provider of online education.

The collaboration aims to introduce new talent into the commercial and procurement consultancy field through a government-endorsed Skills Bootcamp.

The programme is set to recruit individuals from London and Manchester, focusing on drawing applicants from varied backgrounds to ensure diversity in the sector. Participants who complete the Bootcamp will be offered an interview for a position at the Pixel Academy, aligning the initiative with government-supported employment programs and the National Careers Service (NCS)

Pixel Global has committed to the Social Mobility Pledge and is recognised as a Disability Confident Employer, and supports the Armed Forces Covenant.

Candidates who successfully pass the Bootcamp and receive a job offer will undergo an additional three months of training before beginning an 18-month CIPS level 3 apprenticeship.

Nilesh Bhandari, COO of Pixel Global, commented on the initiative, stating, “We are delighted to be working closely with leading education provider The Skills Network to help hidden talent access exciting opportunities within our commercial and procurement consultancy. No one’s background, education or social status should be a barrier to excelling in the workplace - this new scheme ensures that someone’s values, capability and potential, are the main components needed to succeed."

Mark Dawe, CEO of The Skills Network, added, “We are proud to be able to work alongside Pixel Global in the UK to help set up this scheme which has the potential to unlock success, not only for this growing company but also for applicants who may not otherwise be able to access the world of commercial procurement. This is an exciting opportunity that we hope will have a massive positive impact for the sector and the wider economy, as well as learners.”

This partnership signifies a strategic effort by Pixel Global and The Skills Network to diversify and enrich the talent pool in the commercial and procurement consultancy industry, aiming to provide equitable opportunities for skill development and employment.
