Halda releases AI Student Recruiter to streamline university enrollment and engagement
Halda, an AI-powered enrollment platform for higher education institutions, has launched AI Student Recruiter, a tool designed to automate and personalize communication with prospective students.
The system delivers information across web, email, phone, SMS, and WhatsApp, integrating with university websites and CRM systems to streamline recruitment and admissions processes.
The AI Student Recruiter was piloted by institutions including Lynn University, the University of Montana, and the University of West Florida. It is now available to all colleges, universities, and other educational institutions.
Jenny Petty, Vice President of Marketing Communication, Experience and Engagement at the University of Montana, said:
“Halda has quickly become one of our most valuable resources for prospective student engagement in terms of inquiries and applicants. Their progressive approach to AI puts us ahead in an ever-more competitive landscape.”
AI in Higher Education
Halda was founded in 2021 by former Amazon engineer and Y Combinator alumni Lance Hydrick, Spencer Peterson, and Dallin Palmer. The company provides AI-driven student recruitment solutions and works with more than 150 colleges and universities.
Dallin Palmer, Co-Founder of Halda, said:
“There’s been much discussion about the role of AI in the classroom, with most of it rightly focused on how to ensure academic integrity in an age of generative AI. We’ve focused our efforts on making AI work for the mutual benefit of the student and the institution. The recruitment process is a perfect place to focus because there’s so much unnecessary friction. With AI Student Recruiter, we’re using technology to replace that friction with the kind of smooth and personalized experience younger generations have come to expect.”
AI-driven recruitment and enrollment support
Halda's AI Student Recruiter provides students with real-time, personalized information on admissions, financial aid, and course selection. The system enables institutions to reduce manual administrative work and scale outreach to prospective students.
Lance Hydrick, Halda Co-Founder and CEO, said:
“The college admission and enrollment processes have always been complicated and intimidating for the majority of prospective students. With Halda, we’re making it dead simple for interested students to get the personalized information they need efficiently through their preferred channel(s), without requiring resource-constrained learning institutions to invest in costly website overhauls or armies of recruiters.”
Melissa Webb, Assistant Dean of the Graduate School at the University of West Florida, said:
“Working with Halda has been a great experience—they are always forward-thinking. When the AI pilot was introduced, it was an easy decision to move forward. AI is the future, and Halda consistently prioritizes students by ensuring they receive the information they need. By supporting students, they are also supporting us.”
