For A Bright Future Foundation partners with Grass Valley to enhance media education for under-served youth

The Louis Hernandez Jr.'s Foundation For A Bright Future (FABF) has partnered with Grass Valley, a technology provider for the media and entertainment industry.

The collaboration integrates Grass Valley’s cloud-based software platform, AMPP, into FABF’s Media Lab programme to support underprivileged youth in learning media production skills.

The partnership will provide students with content creation, management, and distribution training. Grass Valley’s platform will be used in the programme to equip students with skills for careers in the media industry.

In recognition of this partnership, Ayhan Rob Ulke, Grass Valley’s strategic accounts lead for North America, has been named Vice-Chair of the Media Lab programme. In his new role, Ulke will support Gary Bettan, Chairman of the Media Lab programme, in developing and managing the initiative.

“Ayhan's expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we develop strategic initiatives and ensure the programme's success. His commitment to education and innovation aligns perfectly with our goals,” said Gary Bettan, Chairman of the For A Bright Future Media Lab programme.

FABF’s Media Lab programme, launched in 2023, provides schools with media facilities that allow students to produce television programmes, short films, music, and sports programming. The programme is currently active in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City, with plans to expand across the U.S. and globally.

Commenting on his new role, Ulke said, “I am honoured to join the Media Lab programme as Vice-Chair and to work alongside Gary Bettan and the Foundation. Together, we will create a dynamic learning environment that empowers students and opens doors to new career opportunities in media production.”

The collaboration between FABF and Grass Valley aims to offer practical education in media production to underserved students, creating opportunities for them to enter the workforce. The programme is expected to expand to more U.S. schools, offering students access to industry-standard tools used in professional media settings.

“This partnership with Grass Valley is a significant step forward in our mission to provide underprivileged youth with the tools and skills they need to succeed in the media industry. We are excited to see the impact this collaboration will have on our students' futures,” said Louis Hernandez Jr., For A Bright Future Founder and Chairman of the Board.
