Dongguk University teams up with LifestyledAI and UMUST R&D to drive AI advancements

Dongguk University Startup Technology Institute, based in Seoul, South Korea, has signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LifestyledAI and UMUST R&D to advance global deep tech and healthcare through the development and commercialisation of innovative AI technologies.

LifestyledAI, a deep-tech startup, is known for its AI tools like Ultra-Real Fitting, designed for virtual fashion and beauty try-ons, and a precise AI-based body measurement system. 

These technologies aim to transform the fashion and beauty e-commerce experience by offering consumers a more realistic virtual interaction, bridging the gap between online and in-person shopping.

Jinwan Kim, CEO of LifestyledAI, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating:

"This partnership will allow us to further refine our proprietary AI technologies and accelerate their global commercialisation, helping to advance the AI deep-tech and healthcare industries on a global scale."

UMUST R&D, a global healthcare startup specialising in AI-based medical devices, brings expertise in healthcare innovation to the partnership. Both companies, along with Dongguk University, will collaborate on joint research, workshops, and strategies for international market expansion while focusing on global growth in the healthcare and technology sectors.

UMUST R&D’s CEO, Kangpa Lee, stated:

 "We are dedicated to advancing the AI image technologies developed by LifestyledAI and working together to implement these innovations in the development of cutting-edge AI medical devices, while also enhancing our global business capabilities."

Dongguk University’s Startup Technology Institute, will support the initiative.  Director Gwangho Yoo, Head of the institute, commented:

 "This agreement will facilitate a collaborative research and development framework in the AI and healthcare sectors by leveraging in-house technologies and matching human resources to strengthen industry-academia collaboration."

The collaboration is focused on developing and commercialising AI-based technologies, supporting technical exploration of international markets, and creating an ecosystem that enhances cooperation between industry and academia.
