CleverTap and UpGrad build deep learning track to upskill marketers with AI and analytics training
Engagement platform, CleverTap, has partnered with upGrad, an Asian learning, skilling and workforce development firm, to introduce a specialised deep learning programme/track within upGrad powered Digital Marketing and Product Management courses with MICA and Duke CE, respectively.
CleverTap currently lays claim to a clientele of over 2,000 brands globally to help build personalised experiences for their customers. The platform is powered by TesseractDB - pitched as the world's first purpose built database for customer engagement.
upGrad, meanwhile, offers a range of online and hybrid skilling programmes, certifications, and bootcamps under its B2C portfolio while also facilitating Indian and global universities to offer their Diploma, Master’s and Executive Doctorates.
Integrated into the curriculum, the pair say that they jointly enable deep learning that blends academic rigour with real-world application, equipping learners with expertise in customer retention, engagement strategies, and AI driven marketing.
Learners will receive exclusive, one-month access to the CleverTap dashboard, gaining hands-on experience in leveraging marketing analytics for impactful campaigns. They can extend their access at a discounted rate for deeper learning. Upon completion, candidates will also earn a joint certification from upGrad and CleverTap.

Learners can also access videos from CleverTap University - created by the platform to expand user knowledge on the CleverTap product, business use cases, and best practices. These videos will be available on upGrad’s Learning Management System.
2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
AI will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards, organised by our sister title Retail Technology Innovation Hub.
The awards. which will open for entries in March, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
The 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
