Chegg partners with Amazon Web Services to advance AI-powered learning for students
Chegg has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to advance its AI strategy and drive innovation in education.
The five-year agreement will leverage AWS's AI capabilities to enhance personalised learning experiences for students globally.
Chegg is an online learning platform that supports students through textbook rentals, online tutoring, and study resources.
Chegg will utilise AWS technologies such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Inf2 instances to develop AI-powered solutions tailored to students' evolving needs.
Steve Evans, Senior Vice President of Engineering Services at Chegg, stated:
"We are excited to expand our collaboration with AWS. AWS's robust infrastructure and extensive AI capabilities have been instrumental in supporting Chegg's innovation in AI-powered learning.
“By continuing our work with AWS, we will be able to create a more engaging learning experience that will empower students to learn with confidence and equip them with the tools they need to succeed in today's rapidly changing world."
The solutions will include personalised learning tools and AI-driven tutoring to support improving student learning outcomes.
Chegg is also collaborating with AWS's product acceleration teams to create a generative AI-powered learning assistant. The tool will offer students customised learning plans featuring practice questions, assessments, flashcards, and study guides.
Kim Majerus, Vice President for Global Education & U.S. State and Local Government at AWS, commented:
"Chegg’s culture of innovation is pushing the boundaries of education technology, a powerful tool in helping students succeed on their educational journey. AWS is committed to accelerating Chegg’s development of transformative learning experiences for millions of students worldwide."
