Wall Street English unveils new AI conversation tool to boost speaking confidence
Wall Street English has launched "Conversation AI," a new tool supporting English language learners' speaking skills by simulating real-world conversations.
The company hopes this feature will bridge the gap between proficiency in reading and writing and actual verbal fluency.
The tool uses advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) to mimic spontaneous dialogues, offering students a more dynamic and engaging speaking experience. As learners often face anxiety during real-life interactions, Conversation AI provides an anxiety-free environment for practicing conversational English.
Addressing a common challenge
Many English learners excel in written language but struggle when it comes to speaking in real-life settings. According to Wall Street English, traditional language education methods often don't provide enough engaging speaking practice. This new feature aims to remedy that by helping students feel confident in their ability to communicate effectively.
“Our goal is to empower students to communicate confidently in real-world situations,” said James Mc Gowan, CEO of Wall Street English. “With the Conversation AI feature, we’re giving learners a tool that adapts to their needs, feels like a natural conversation, and helps them build real speaking skills without the fear of making mistakes in front of others.”
Conversation AI uses multimedia—combining audio, images, and interactive text elements—making the learning environment immersive and adaptable to various learning styles. It responds dynamically to student input, adapting to each learner’s level and pace. The tool also includes features like pause and repeat, allowing students to take control of their learning process.
The system models appropriate conversational behaviour and cultural nuances, offering a more holistic language learning experience. Learners can directly ask the AI for help during practice sessions, which provides additional support without having to rely on visual cues from external resources.
Wall Street English hopes that by providing a more realistic conversational experience, students will feel better prepared for real-world interactions.
James Mc Gowan added, “It’s about making language learning more engaging, practical, and, most importantly, enjoyable.”
