Virohan and Mahajan Imaging & Labs launch AI-powered healthcare training
Virohan, an edtech platform focused on training Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), has partnered with Mahajan Imaging & Labs to provide students with practical experience in medical diagnostics and imaging.
The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between education and industry by offering hands-on training in real-world healthcare environments.
Mahajan Imaging & Labs operates diagnostic centers and laboratories across North India, including facilities within hospitals such as Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Hospitals, PSRI Hospital, and Safdarjung Hospital. Through this partnership, Virohan students will gain exposure to AI-powered diagnostic technologies while working alongside professionals in clinical settings.
India’s healthcare sector is expanding at an annual rate of 22%, yet there is a shortage of 5.8 million AHPs, who make up 60% of the workforce. Industry-aligned training is seen as essential to addressing this demand by equipping students with the necessary technical and clinical skills.
Nalin Saluja, Co-Founder and CTO of Virohan, said the collaboration would give students valuable real-world experience:
“We're excited to partner with Mahajan Imaging & Labs. Their extensive network will provide our students with real-world exposure to advanced diagnostic technologies.
“The healthcare industry in India is changing fast, and the demand for skilled professionals who can work with cutting-edge tools is higher than ever. This partnership is not just about learning—it gives our students the confidence and practical knowledge to step into the real world and make a difference.”
Mahajan Imaging & Labs has been in operation for over 35 years, managing 11 diagnostic centers and three laboratories. The company specializes in medical imaging, genomics, and AI-driven diagnostics. This initiative with Virohan aligns with its efforts to expand its network and support workforce development in healthcare.
Kabir Mahajan, COO of Mahajan Imaging & Labs, said the partnership would play a role in strengthening the healthcare workforce:
“Our collaboration with Virohan represents a significant step toward strengthening India’s healthcare workforce. By providing students with hands-on training, we are not only supporting their professional growth but also contributing to improved patient care across the nation.”
“This partnership aligns with our plans to expand our network of integrated diagnostic centers across North India. We take pride in our latest technology and machinery, along with our highly trained employees and doctors, to help patients in any situation, especially complex cases. We are delighted to extend this learning to students from Virohan.”
