Targus unveils new protective cases for Chromebooks and iPads at ISTELive '24

Targus, a company specialising in laptop cases and mobile computing accessories, has launched new protective cases for Chromebooks and iPads, designed specifically for the education market. These new products were introduced at the ISTELive '24 event.

Targus has added commercial-grade form-fit Chromebook cases and protective iPad cases to its portfolio, aiming to improve the protection and functionality of students' devices.

The Commercial-Grade Form-Fit Clear Cases are designed for the latest Dell, Lenovo, and HP Chromebooks. These translucent cases offer drop-rated protection up to three feet, enhanced corner and edge protection, and a thin, lightweight design. The cases provide easy access to all ports and are backed by Targus' limited lifetime warranty. These cases are expected to be available in June and July.

Targus has also introduced two new iPad cases:

  1. SafePort Clear Case: Designed for the 10th generation iPad (10.9-inch), this case offers drop protection up to six feet. It features a clear, shock-absorbent back cover, a protective snap-on front cover, reinforced corners, a wrap-around bezel, and covered buttons. The case also includes a built-in durable kickstand for hands-free viewing and a built-in stylus holder for the Apple Pencil (sold separately).

  2. Kids Antimicrobial Case: This case provides drop protection up to six feet and is designed for younger students. It features a carry handle that doubles as a stand, precision cutouts for full access to controls, ports, and cameras, and Targus DefenseGuard Antimicrobial Protection, which helps prevent the growth of microorganisms on the case surface.

David Dorantes, Director of Product Marketing at Targus, stated:

"When it comes to protecting students' tech throughout the school year while helping them to be as productive as possible, equipping them with the right accessories is often as important as the devices themselves.

"Our new cases made for the latest Chromebooks and iPad models deliver superior device protection and provide various integrated, versatile features that help students work easier and more productively on their devices in any learning environment."
