Skillsoft launches new AI Tools for personalised learning and simplified certification paths

Skillsoft has announced several new features aimed at improving skill-building and certification processes through AI-powered enhancements. These updates are designed to streamline learning, making it more personalised and adaptable to individual needs.

The platform now includes Smart Content Discovery, where an AI Assistant offers customised recommendations, instant support, and career guidance. The platform’s AI-Assisted Search further refines queries and suggests related topics, making it easier for learners and administrators to find relevant learning experiences and resources.

The new Personalised Coaching feature enhances the traditional 1-on-1 coaching experience. With the AI Coaching Guide, learners receive continuous support between human-led sessions, providing real-time feedback and encouragement to stay on track with learning objectives. The guide also offers data-driven insights, helping learners to better navigate their goals.

For those focusing on technical skills, Skillsoft has introduced a Coding Assistant, which serves as a personal tutor for Codecademy interactive courses. This AI-based chatbot provides real-time feedback, tailored coding exercises, and support based on the learner’s progress and skill level. The assistant is designed to make coding education more interactive and engaging.

These new features build on Skillsoft’s existing AI-powered capabilities, such as its CAISY™ AI coach and Interactive Skill Benchmarks, designed to close skills gaps more effectively. The company will dive deeper into these enhancements during Skillsoft Perspectives 2024, its annual customer event.

“In today’s rapidly evolving enterprise landscape, technical certifications are key. But they can be difficult for administrators and learners to track and share,” says Gina Smith, PhD, Research Director for IDC’s IT Skills for Digital Business practice. “Skillsoft Certification Paths aim to tackle such issues by providing comprehensive certification management for administrators and a centralized hub for learners to access all of their certification needs.”
