RNL Partners with Credo AI to Enhance AI governance in Higher Education

Ruffalo Noel Levitz (RNL) has announced a partnership with Credo AI to enhance AI governance in higher education.

RNL specialises in higher education enrolment, student success, and fundraising solutions, while Credo AI is recognised for its expertise in AI governance software. The collaboration aims to establish responsible AI governance for deploying AI applications across RNL's services.

Navrina Singh, Founder and CEO of Credo AI, emphasised the growing importance of AI in various sectors, including education, stating:

“Every company is becoming an AI company and the world of education is no exception. Our mission is to empower organizations to responsibly build, adopt, procure, and use AI at scale.

“We're honored to have RNL place their trust in Credo AI, as we support them on their journey to adopt and deploy AI applications to the U.S. higher education customers with safety and speed in equal measure.”

RNL provides data-driven solutions to over 1,500 institutions, focusing on helping them meet their enrolment targets, guide students towards completing their degrees, and boost fundraising efforts.

As RNL integrates more predictive machine learning models and generative AI into its technology, partners like Credo AI are essential for deploying these new technologies safely and at scale.

A survey by Tyton Partners highlighted that only three per cent of academic institutions have formal policies regarding the use of artificial intelligence technology tools. As RNL continues to embed AI-driven models into its solutions, the collaboration with Credo AI will help ensure compliance with AI governance policies and regulatory standards.

The Credo AI Governance Platform will be used as a central repository for tracking and managing AI risk and compliance at RNL. The platform will allow RNL to integrate its data and evidence into governance processes, facilitating the safe and compliant deployment of RNL Edge AI solutions for their university partners.

Dr Stephen Drew, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at RNL, explained the significance of this partnership:

“At RNL, simply having a responsible AI statement on our website wasn't enough. We take the risks and limitations of AI seriously. Our partnership with Credo AI enables us to go beyond words, providing a platform that helps us track, assess risks, and design mitigation strategies for every AI use case.

“As a leader in higher education services, our university partners expect us to provide trustworthy systems, and Credo AI is a significant part of fulfilling that expectation.”
