Qoria appoints Michael Hyndman as Chief Information Security Officer

Qoria, a key player in child cyber safety and wellbeing, has announced the appointment of Michael Hyndman as Chief Information Security Officer.

The appointment reinforces Qoria's commitment to enhancing its cybersecurity measures and maintaining a high level of security for its customers.

Hyndman has extensive experience in cybersecurity, including a background as an ethical hacker. His expertise is expected to improve Qoria's security and products.

He stated about the role, "Qoria has one of the most important charters of the 21st century; supporting parents and schools with the ability to provide safe access to technology and it is a great privilege to play a pivotal role in this mission."

Hyndman previously served as Vice President of Information Security at Qoria since October 2021. In that role, he was responsible for defining and executing the security, data privacy, and IT strategy for the organisation, which operates in highly regulated markets globally. 

He led a team of over 15 experts in various domains, such as data privacy and protection, application security, cloud security, penetration testing, security operations, assurance and compliance, data security, business analysis, and IT engineering.

Before his tenure at Qoria, Hyndman was the ICT Service Delivery Manager at OZ Minerals, responsible for the quality and performance of customer-facing ICT teams, services, and products. His role also involved supporting the delivery and operationalisation of cybersecurity projects and managing incident responses.

Michael Hyndman’s experience and leadership in the cybersecurity field make him a valuable addition to Qoria's executive team. His appointment is expected to help Qoria navigate the evolving cybersecurity landscape and maintain its position in innovation and resilience.
