PowerSchool launches Arabic-localised education software for the Middle East
PowerSchool, a leading provider of cloud-based education software, has announced the launch of its translated and localised products for the Middle East.
The move enables educators in the region to manage administrative, classroom, and communication tasks using newly embedded Arabic translations, right-to-left interface displays, and a Hijri calendar overlay.
PowerSchool’s product suite includes well-known tools such as Schoology Learning and Naviance CCLR. These tools are used by over 55 million students across more than 90 countries.
The Student Information System now allows administrators to log student records and generate reports in Arabic. Teachers can enhance personalised learning experiences for their students with the Arabic version of Schoology Learning. Additionally, Arabic-speaking parents will have access to digital school forms through PowerSchool’s Enrollment Express and Ecollect Forms solutions.
PowerBuddy, PowerSchool’s AI-powered assistant, is also being developed with multi-language capability and will soon launch in the Middle East.
Stewart Monk, Senior Vice President & General Manager, International at PowerSchool, highlighted the significance of this development:
“With the UAE and other GCC countries prioritising digital transformation in education, we are pleased to announce the availability of our educational and operational products in Arabic. This aligns with our commitment to provide mission-critical support to education leaders for personalised learning globally.”
The localised products are designed to help educators, students, and families engage with technology more intuitively. They provide opportunities for students to develop collaboration skills in their primary language, eliminate the need for manual translation, and ensure that educational institutions prioritise equity and inclusion.
Following the launch of their newest office in Dubai last year, PowerSchool’s investment in localised Arabic products further demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to the region and the potential impact of its solutions across the GCC.
PowerSchool also recently released a Middle East version of their 2024 Education Focus Report, which highlights major trends in education in the region based on feedback from educators.
Mohammed Essam, PowerSchool Lead at ESOL Education, said:
“PowerSchool’s commitment to providing Arabic localisation across its products reflects an understanding of their diverse user base and their commitment to inclusivity.
"This investment can lead to closer collaboration with educational institutions in the Middle East, fostering innovation and progress in the education sector. Overall, this is a promising direction that could benefit both PowerSchool and the educational community in the region.”
