PICSPro to Enhance Cybersecurity Resilience in the Philippines via Resecurity Partnership
The Philippine Institute of Cyber Security Professionals (PICSPro), a non-profit organization that promotes a secure cyberspace in the country is partnering with Resecurity, a vendor, to enhance its educational offer. The partners will design and implement specialized training and internship programs, with appropriate technology, mentorship and real world examples. The aim is to help cybersecurity professionals in the region advance their careers and provide on-going, updated support, as the initiative scales up.
The PICSPro and Resecurity training modules will be tailored to address the specific needs of different sectors, ensuring that the cybersecurity participants gain practical, up-to-date knowledge and skills to combat emerging threats.
PICSPro advocates for cybersecurity best practice and has members and stakeholders among students, law enforcement agencies, and corporate professionals – all with the aim of enhancing their skills in cybersecurity and digital forensics.
The signing ceremony, held this week, was marked by the presence of key representatives from both partners. It signifies a mutual commitment to fostering a safer digital environment in the Philippines using Resecurity’s cybersecurity solutions and know-how, allied to PICSPro’s extensive network.
The program includes career counseling, job placement assistance for students and youngsters, and professional development opportunities for those already in the industry.
Commenting on the initiative, Resecurity's Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the APAC region, Ben Ouano, said: "Partnering with PICSPro aligns with our mission to strengthen global cybersecurity defenses through education and innovation. Together, we will empower individuals and organizations in the Philippines to protect their digital assets and contribute to a more secure cyberspace in Asia-Pacific."
PICSPro’s leadership also highlighted the importance of the cooperation deal. "Resecurity’s expertise and advanced solutions will significantly enhance our training programs and capacity-building initiatives," said Angel Redoble, Chairman and Founding President of PICSPro. “This collaboration is a vital step towards achieving our vision of a secure and resilient Philippine cyberspace.”
