Pearson appoints Naseem Tuffaha as Chief Business Officer to drive growth strategy

Pearson has announced the appointment of Naseem Tuffaha as Chief Business Officer. Reporting to CEO Omar Abbosh, Tuffaha will oversee business strategy alignment, software scaling, and customer engagement to support Pearson’s long-term objectives.

Pearson focuses on developing learning and workforce skilling solutions, particularly in the context of AI-driven education. Tuffaha has more than 30 years of experience in market expansion, strategic planning, and business leadership.

Omar Abbosh, CEO of Pearson, said:

Before joining Pearson, Tuffaha served as Chief Growth Officer at The Trade Desk, where he led operational scaling and global expansion initiatives. He also spent 24 years in senior go-to-market roles at Microsoft, managing business development and growth strategies. Additionally, he was CEO and Chief Revenue Officer of Fidesic Corporation, a company specializing in automating financial processes for midsize organizations.

Tuffaha discussed his perspective on the role and the impact of education, stating:
