Nischal’s Smart Learning launches VR-Powered 3D E-books for K-5 students

VR

Nischal’s Smart Learning Solutions, a company focused on developing technology-based learning tools for K-12 education, has introduced VR-powered 3D e-books for school students in grades 1-5.

The e-books feature over 1,000 virtual reality (VR) simulations and 100 interactive games, designed to provide a more interactive learning experience. These e-books are part of Nischal’s Excellence Program (Primary), building on the company’s previous work in secondary education.

The e-books cover subjects such as Mathematics and Environmental Science (EVS), including History and Geography. Students can explore these subjects through immersive simulations, designed to help them engage with complex topics in a more practical way.

AI-powered adaptive learning personalises quizzes and exercises based on each student's individual progress.

The Mathematics e-book offers over 100 tools aimed at enhancing problem-solving, critical thinking, and pattern recognition skills. The programme combines traditional textbooks with VR-powered content. The e-books can be accessed through VR headsets or standard video playback, giving students flexibility in how they use the material.

Educational standards

The e-books were developed over three years in collaboration with a European animation studio. They are aligned with multiple educational standards, including CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, IB, and Indian state boards, ensuring that they meet a range of curricula requirements.

In addition to the VR simulations, the e-books include features like note-taking, search functionality, and offline access. These tools are designed to support both students and teachers, making it easier to integrate the content into classrooms.

The company has also introduced portable labs for secondary students, offering hands-on learning experiences in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Commenting on the development, Nischal Narayanam, Founder of Nischal’s Smart Learning Solutions, said:

“We are proud to introduce groundbreaking VR-powered 3D e-books, which are set to transform the way young students learn. Our philosophy—'Children understand 50% by hearing, 80% by seeing, and 100% by doing'—aligns with our commitment to creating immersive learning experiences that engage students in meaningful ways.

“These e-books will not only make learning more engaging for young students but also help them grasp complex concepts more effectively, equipping them with the skills they need to thrive.”
