Melissa Spade appointed as operations manager at Grand Canyon Private Academy

Grand Canyon Private Academy (GCPA), an online private school powered by K12, has appointed Melissa Spade as Operations Manager.

Spade, who has a 15-year background in programme management within the nonprofit sector, joined K12 in 2018. Her work primarily supports students under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

In her new role at GCPA, she will be a central figure for staff, students, and their guardians, contributing to the school's operational strategies and student support services.

GCPA is set to include high school seniors in its educational programmes this fall, expanding its reach and support for students at a crucial stage in their academic and career planning. The school operates with a team comprising leaders, certified teachers, academic coaches, and counsellors, emphasising personalised education and community engagement.

Grand Canyon Private Academy offers education for grades K–12, focusing on an individualised learning experience designed to prepare students for their future endeavours.

GCPA's Executive Director, Bouchra Bouanani, commented on the appointment, "We are excited that Melissa is taking on the critical role of Operations Manager at our school.

“With an extensive background in program management and a heart for students and education, she’s the perfect leader to help GCPA achieve its goals of inspiring and empowering students."
