Stride launches 2024 career connect webinar series for K12 students

Stride, Inc., a provider of online and blended education programmes, announced the 2024 Career Connect Webinar Series, aimed at connecting K12 students with employers.

Stride offers a range of education solutions for students, schools, and adult learners, focusing on preparing learners for future careers through its various programmes.

The webinar series is scheduled to feature AgCareers and Publix on March 28, followed by CVS Health on April 4. They will introduce students to career opportunities, pathways, and job application processes. The company plans to add more participating employers to the series.

The webinars are designed to inform students enrolled in K12 about career paths. Company representatives discuss job search strategies, application, and interview processes. These sessions aim to outline potential career progressions within each company and the skills beneficial for employment. An interactive segment will allow students to engage directly with the employers.

Following each webinar, Stride Career Success Coaches will provide group coaching sessions focusing on resume preparation, interview techniques, and overall employment candidacy.

The webinars will be conducted on Pathful, integrating elements of career exploration, work-based learning, and skill development, with an emphasis on the significance of STEAM disciplines in various industries.

Dr. Sherri Wilson, Director of Partnership Development and Career Pathways at Stride, Inc., said, “We are excited about the possibilities this partnership with Pathful will bring to students as they explore the role that science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) play across multiple career pathways, including agriculture and the food industry.

“These events are a fantastic way for our students to hear directly from leading brands as they consider and explore careers, internships, and employment opportunities, and is just one of the many ways Stride helps prepare students for life after graduation.”
