USC joins forces with Student Athlete Score to leverage AI for NIL marketing and athlete branding

The University of Southern California (USC) has partnered with Student Athlete Score, a marketing intelligence platform specializing in athlete branding and NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities.

Through this collaboration, USC will gain access to advanced data analytics and AI-powered insights to strengthen its athlete marketing strategies and support student-athletes in maximizing their NIL potential.

NIL opportunities through AI analytics

With changes in college athletics allowing student-athletes to monetize their personal brands, universities are adopting new technologies to track and enhance NIL opportunities.

Student Athlete Score provides institutions with AI-driven data tools that evaluate social media performance, marketing trends, and brand engagement. These insights allow universities to optimize sponsorships, improve athlete visibility, and expand revenue-generating opportunities.

Sam Adams, Chief Strategy Officer at USC, emphasized the importance of this partnership in adapting to the evolving NIL landscape:

"As we position USC for the new era of college athletics, we are excited to work with Student Athlete Score and utilize their trailblazing technology to further elevate our NIL program.

“Our goal is to help student-athletes build their personal brands, leverage USC’s global brand, and maximize their NIL opportunities at USC and beyond. The data and analytics provided by Student Athlete Score will support NIL strategies as well as the exposure and reach of our social, digital, and creative teams.”

By integrating Student Athlete Score’s platform, USC will be able to track the effectiveness of athlete marketing initiatives and refine its approach to brand partnerships. The collaboration is expected to benefit student-athletes by providing them with measurable insights into their marketability, helping them make informed decisions about sponsorships and digital engagement.

Brent Wall, Chief Executive Officer at Student Athlete Score, highlighted the significance of the partnership:

“We are thrilled to partner with USC and bring our technology to one of the most prestigious athletic programs in the country,” said Wall. “Our platform is designed to help universities navigate the NIL era with confidence, and we’re excited to support USC in maximizing opportunities for their student-athletes.”
