EdTech brand Lingokids teams up with BBC Earth for new Walking with Dinosaurs lessons

Lingokids and BBC Earth are launching an exclusive Walking with Dinosaurs Lesson in the Lingokids app.
The new Lingokids lessons aim to provide a learning experience rather than a passive screentime activity with interactive instruction, hands-on games and challenges.
Each unit in the multi-lesson curriculum offers play-based learning, teaching children about paleontology, dinosaur diets, habitats and introduces concepts such as extinction and fossilization.
“We all know that kids are entertained by dinosaurs, and, through a Lingokids study in collaboration with University of Central Lancashire, we know that when kids are entertained, they learn more, faster,” explains Cristóbal Viedma, Founder and CEO at Lingokids.
“This collaboration with BBC Earth lets us bring that spark to life in a way that’s fun, active, and educational. Together, we’re giving families a way to keep exploring their favorite prehistoric creatures long after the show ends.”
The first series of Walking with Dinosaurs premiered in 1999 and is now back with six new episodes, which have already aired in the U.K and will be available in the U.S. from June 16 on PBS. Lingokids is offering a chance for a new generation of dinosaur enthusiasts to enjoy learning through play alongside the TV series.
“Given the huge popularity of dinosaurs among younger audiences, we know families will be coming together to watch Walking With Dinosaurs,” adds Monica Hayes, Vice President of Content Marketing at BBC Studios. “That’s why we’re excited to partner with Lingokids to give families a chance to go beyond the TV screen and continue the adventure through interactive learning. Who knows, we might even inspire the next generation of paleontologists!"
Last year, a research conducted by Lingokids suggested there has been a notable rise in children's technology use during the summer holidays, with educational apps emerging as the leading choice among digital content.
