internXL and will.i.am's FYI partner to empower future tech leaders

internXL has announced a collaboration with FYI (Focus Your Ideas), an AI-powered platform co-founded by will.i.am and tech innovator Sunil Reddy.

The partnership aims to connect internXL’s diverse, pre-vetted talent pool with FYI’s innovative tools, aligning with will.i.am's mission to empower future tech leaders.

internXL’s platform uses advanced algorithms to match entry-level candidates with employers, analysing qualifications against job requirements to streamline the hiring process and foster an inclusive workforce.

The platform’s AI-generated recommendations consider various factors such as educational background, career aspirations, cognitive abilities and personality. It ensures a comprehensive assessment of candidates, reducing biases that might exclude potential hires.

The internXL initiative also provides personalised support for candidates needing additional assistance to meet job requirements. The internXL Academy offers over 4,000 free courses and certifications to bridge skill gaps, further enhancing candidate preparedness.

Through this partnership, students and recent graduates, particularly from underrepresented communities, will gain access to valuable work experiences in the AI and prompt engineering sectors. InternXL scholars will benefit from exclusive access to cutting-edge projects and mentorship from industry experts, fostering career growth in technology.

will.i.am said about the collaboration:

“Joining forces with Robert F. Smith, alongside internXL and FYI, is a dream come true because it shows people from our communities what our future will look like with the support of purpose-driven tech.

“By being solution-oriented, we prepare today’s generation to be the industry-makers of tomorrow. The aim is to focus our ideas with AI to solve yesterday’s problems; the future starts today.”

Ivana Jackson, Director of internXL, noted the significance of the collaboration:

“Working with FYI and will.i.am is a significant step forward in our mission. His passion for innovation, creativity, and social impact is perfectly aligned with our goals.

“Together, we are set to redefine how young talent is discovered and nurtured in the growing artificial intelligence industry.”

Robert F. Smith, Founding Director of Fund II Foundation, said:

“Through this partnership, we want every young person with the drive, talent and commitment to have exposure to career opportunities that could change their life - just like my first internship experience did for me.

“Together, we will prepare students for in-demand fields and empower them to lead in our growing economy.”
