FPT, a tech provider in digital transformation, telecommunications, and education solutions, has partnered with Malaysia’s Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) to strengthen the country's digital transformation and technology education.

The partnership emphasizes AI research, knowledge exchange, and the integration of advanced technology into Malaysia’s critical sectors.

As part of the collaboration, FPT has donated software valued at USD 2 million to UTP. This includes access to the Total Augmented Data Analytics (TADA) platform, which enhances data processing and visualization up to 100 times faster than conventional methods. TADA aims to improve UTP’s educational and research capabilities.

FPT Executive Vice President Pham Minh Tuan stated:

“FPT has been a long-term trusted IT partner of Petronas, playing a key role in several digital transformation initiatives. Our collaboration extends beyond technology to include workforce development.

“By bringing our AI expertise and advanced tools and promoting student exchanges between FPT University and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, we aim to empower the next generation of IT talent in both countries with the skills and knowledge needed to drive innovation and growth.”

FPT will provide training and technical support, enabling UTP’s staff and students to develop data-driven insights and boost productivity by 50% through real-world applications across sectors such as healthcare, energy, and autonomous systems.

The partnership also includes internships, joint research projects, and workforce development initiatives designed to address the demands of Malaysia’s digital economy. The collaboration also supports student and faculty exchanges, fostering innovation and enhancing Malaysia’s technology landscape.

Prof. Dato' Ir Ts Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, Vice-Chancellor of UTP, emphasized the impact of this partnership, saying:
