Multiverse and Microsoft introduce AI-powered apprenticeship for workforce training

Multiverse has partnered with Microsoft to support its “Get On” campaign, which wants to equip one million people with skills for an AI-driven economy by 2025. 

As part of this collaboration, Multiverse has launched the AI-Powered Productivity apprenticeship, the UK’s first accredited program to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Darren Hardman, Microsoft UK CEO, emphasized the economic importance of AI upskilling, “By investing in AI skilling, we not only enhance our own capabilities but also drive innovation and productivity across the entire economy.”


Algorithmiq and NVIDIA team up to accelerate quantum computing with advanced error mitigation

Quantum software developer Algorithmiq has joined forces with NVIDIA to develop error mitigation techniques for near-term quantum devices using NVIDIA’s accelerated supercomputing technology. 

The collaboration focuses on improving the performance and reliability of quantum computing systems, with initial results demonstrating a 400x improvement in the performance of Algorithmiq’s Tensor Network Error Mitigation (TEM) solution.


Rise Up acquires Yunoo to monetize training programs and expand LMS capabilities

Rise Up, a provider of adaptive learning solutions, has announced its acquisition of Yunoo, an e-commerce application for Learning Management Systems (LMS)

 Arnaud Blachon, Co-Founder and CEO of Rise Up, commented, on the announcement:

AWS and Bellevue University connect to boost cloud computing education and careers

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has joined forces with Bellevue University to enhance access to cloud computing education and career opportunities. 

As part of the collaboration, Bellevue University will implement the AWS Cloud Institute program, targeting diverse learners and corporate partners seeking to develop in-demand cloud skills.

“The availability of skilled cloud talent is one of the largest barriers to industry transformation,” said Kevin Kelly, Director of AWS Cloud Institute.


Digital accessibility: empowering learners to succeed in education

 Over 16 million people in the UK have a disability, according to the latest estimates from the Department for Work and Pensions’ Family Resources Survey, that’s just under a quarter of the population.

Inversity and Financial Times join forces to address misinformation with AI challenge for students

Inversity, an AI education startup, partnered with the Financial Times to launch a nationwide competition to tackle misinformation and develop media literacy.   

Over four weeks, 400 students worked on AI-powered projects.The winning entry came from 17-year-old Ahmad Adebowale of Liverpool Maths School. His prototype, Skewdle, uses a gamified approach, inspired by Wordle, to help users identify misinformation while engaging with credible news content. Judges praised the project's technical development, user-friendly design, and thorough market research.
