Nectir, an edtech startup, has raised $6.3 million in seed funding led by Long Journey Ventures, along with Entrada Ventures, Precursor Ventures, and Behind Genius Ventures. 

The funding will support the company's expansion, including product development and team growth, as it aims to provide personalized AI learning partners to students.

Squirrel Ai Learning breaks Guinness World Record with 112,718 students in online math lesson

Edtech company Squirrel Ai Learning has achieved a Guinness World Record for hosting the largest online mathematics lesson in September, involving 112,718 students across China within 24 hours. 

The announcement was made during Squirrel Ai Learning’s Annual Marketing Conference. Guinness World Records adjudicator Wu Xiaohong presented the certificate to Wei Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Squirrel Ai Learning.

Montgomery students tackle future mobility challenges in Hyundai-backed STEM program

On November 21, middle school students from Montgomery Public Schools presented innovative solutions for the future of transportation at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) headquarters. 

The event marked the conclusion of the "Manufacturing the Future with Hyundai" program, which challenges students to develop sustainable mobility concepts for the year 2050.


TED-Ed taps Kahoot! learning platform to deliver free interactive learning content for students and educators

Kahoot! has announced a new partnership with TED to provide free interactive learning resources through its platform. The team up combines TED-Ed’s educational content with Kahoot!’s interactive learning tools, offering students, teachers, and parents access to educational materials.

Eilert Hanoa, CEO of Kahoot!, explained the purpose of the collaboration: 

“This partnership between Kahoot! and TED brings together two powerhouses of knowledge sharing, connecting learners worldwide with ideas, insights, and skills to not only adapt to but create lasting change in the 21st century.”



Ikea retailer Ingka Group’s leadership accelerator programme delivers youngest ever Market Managers

Ingka Group, the largest Ikea retailer, recently marked the graduation of 73 participants from its flagship Bloom leadership development programme.

Launched three years ago, Bloom has fast-tracked the development of these co-workers toward Market Manager positions – the roles that manage Ikea stores and customer journeys on and offline.
