Brisk Teaching Raises $6.9M for AI-powered learning tools and launches Brisk Boost
Brisk Teaching, an AI-powered Chrome extension, has completed a $5 million seed funding round, bringing its total funding to $6.9 million.
The round was led by Owl Ventures, with additional support from South Park Commons, Springbank Collective, Coherence Fund, and Coalition Operators. The funding will support team growth, product development, and international expansion.
The platform has attracted 500,000 users, accounting for 1 in 10 teachers in the U.S. Brisk’s Chrome extension integrates with existing classroom tools, streamlining processes like lesson planning and grading, which can often be time-consuming.
Speaking exclusively to ETIH, Arman Jaffer, Founder and CEO of Brisk Teaching, said:
“As a Chrome Extension seamlessly integrated into a teacher’s workflow, Brisk makes it effortless for educators to generate AI-powered materials based on their own trusted curriculum sources. Differentiation is one of countless tasks teachers manage daily, and Brisk simplifies its most time-consuming elements, turning what was once difficult or impractical into easily actionable solutions.
With Brisk, teachers can instantly modify reading levels and languages for any resource, making previously inaccessible content perfectly suited to each student’s needs. As teachers give feedback, Brisk provides real-time insights on areas for improvement and generates customised interventions tailored specifically to their classroom dynamics.”
Brisk Teaching also announced the launch of Brisk Boost, a new AI-powered tool that offers students personalised activities connected to their teachers' lesson plans.
The tool adapts to individual students' needs and provides teachers with insights into student progress. Brisk Boost allows educators to transform content, such as videos, textbooks, and presentations, into interactive activities that help students engage with the material.
The introduction of Brisk Boost aims to assist students in navigating personalised learning while helping teachers manage differentiated instruction more efficiently. Boost reportedly offers instant support and real-time feedback for students, with features such as adaptive quizzes and brainstorming sessions. The tool is designed to help teachers maintain control over student engagement without adding additional workloads.
The integration of AI in classrooms has faced varying responses, with concerns about its role in the learning process. However, Jaffer believes that AI can be beneficial when used appropriately. “Last school year, educators began exploring how AI tools could speed up tedious tasks. This school year, as teachers feel more prepared to introduce safe, contained AI to their students, Boost is the tool for them,” Jaffer stated.
With this new funding and the launch of Brisk Boost, Brisk Teaching plans to continue expanding its platform, helping both teachers and students manage classroom tasks more effectively.
Our newest feature, Boost, takes this one step further. Boost enables teachers to create adaptive learning tools—such as personalised tutors, quiz generators, and brainstorming assistants—that respond to each student’s understanding and guide them at their own pace through standards-aligned learning objectives. By embedding trusted resources into these activities, teachers can ensure that the AI remains grounded in reliable, vetted knowledge,” Jaffer concluded.
