Boxlight introduces FrontRow UNITY for enhanced education communication and safety

Boxlight has announced the launch of FrontRow UNITY at ISTELive 2024 in Denver, Colorado.

The new product aims to unify classroom audio, campus communication, and emergency response systems into a single, compact device, addressing various communication challenges within educational institutions.

The rise in school shootings has made such technology commonplace in US schools, highlighting the need for comprehensive communication and safety solutions.

Jens Holstebro, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Boxlight Americas, stated:

"UNITY is a comprehensive solution. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy for teachers, while the networked back end simplifies remote support and provisioning for IT staff. Plus, UNITY’s no/low-install footprint and ability to integrate with existing campus communication infrastructure make it budget-friendly—enabling districts to maximize resources without compromising on clear instruction and announcements, while keeping students and staff informed and safe.”

The UNITY device is powered by FrontRow’s ELEVATE technology, featuring tools such as OptiVoice+, PrivaSee, Solo, PrioriTeach+, and Adapto+.

UNITY Campus extends the system's capabilities beyond the classroom to manage school-wide communication. It can handle bells, paging, intercom, public announcements, and emergency alerting when integrated with FrontRow Conductor. IT staff can deploy and update UNITY devices using the FrontRow Rollout app, which efficiently updates firmware across multiple devices.

In emergencies, UNITY Campus, in conjunction with FrontRow Conductor, enhances communication and automates network actions to improve outcomes. The suite of FrontRow solutions, such as ClassLight for visual cues and Attention! for simultaneous audio-visual alerts, ensures that urgent messages are communicated effectively.

Holstebro continued, “No other product on the market matches UNITY's versatility, showcasing Boxlight's commitment to innovation and our ability to leverage 40 years of partnership with the K-12 community to meet their functional and financial needs with unique, proprietary technologies. "
