Blue Bird appoints EV industry leader Edward Hightower to Board to support zero-emission growth
Blue Bird, a manufacturer specializing in low-emission and electric school buses, has appointed Edward T. Hightower to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Hightower brings extensive experience in electric vehicles and the automotive industry, joining Blue Bird as a Class I Director.
Hightower is the founder and managing director of Motoring Ventures LLC, an investment and consulting firm focused on growth and operational strategy within the automotive sector. He previously served as CEO of Lordstown Motors Corp., where he oversaw the launch of the all-electric Endurance pickup truck and led a partnership with Foxconn on an electric vehicle engineering joint venture.
Hightower has also held senior roles at Ford, BMW, and General Motors, along with consulting work in growth and operations at AlixPartners LLP.
