Aston University launches London Hub to expand digital innovation and business education

Aston University has announced the opening of Aston University London, a new educational hub set to open its doors in spring 2025 at 200A Aldersgate in the City of London.

The new site will offer degree programs focused on high-demand fields such as digital innovation, data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity management, global business and management, and business analytics.

Located in one of the world’s foremost business districts, Aston University London aims to leverage its strategic position near industry giants such as Amazon, TikTok, Deloitte Digital, Adobe, Monzo, Adidas, and ITV. The hub is designed to provide students with access to industry engagement, networking opportunities, and practical learning experiences that will help them transition smoothly into the professional world.

The new London facility will be operated in partnership with Cambridge Education Group (CEG), a provider of higher education services. This collaboration aligns with Aston University’s mission to provide high-quality, career-focused education and ensure students gain valuable insights into real-world industry practices.

Programs at Aston University London will be delivered by faculty from Aston Business School, a ‘triple crown accredited’ institution, and experts from the University’s computer science and digital technologies departments, supported by The Sir Peter Rigby Digital Futures Institute.

Professor Aleks Subic, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Aston University, highlighted the significance of the London hub as part of Aston University’s 2030 strategy:

“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Aston University London, a key milestone of our 2030 strategy that aims to extend Aston University's reach and impact,” he said. “Through our innovative omni-channel education model, we’re empowering more students with the skills needed for the global digital economy. Our degree programs, sector leading for graduate outcomes and employability, are designed to enable students to succeed both professionally and personally.”

The programs at Aston University London are built around a curriculum framework that emphasizes industry engagement, interdisciplinary learning, and flexibility. This allows students to tailor their studies according to their career goals, equipping them with skills that align with the demands of the digital economy.

David Johnston, CEO of Cambridge Education Group, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating:

“CEG welcomes the opportunity to expand our successful collaboration with Aston University. Our complementary services mean students will receive a world-class education, supported by cutting-edge teaching and support services.”
