Anthology leverages AI and AWS to enhances student enrollment and retention services

AI

Anthology has announced an enhancement to its student support services, integrating artificial intelligence capabilities powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The latest development aims to improve the efficiency and scalability of enrollment and retention support offered to educational institutions worldwide.

AI-powered student support initiative

Anthology will leverage Amazon Connect, AWS's cloud contact centre service, to integrate machine learning (ML) technology into its support services. This move will enable Anthology to manage student inquiries regarding financial and administrative matters more effectively. The solution combines Anthology's expertise with AWS’s technological capabilities to create a more responsive support system.

Bruce Dahlgren, CEO of Anthology, commented: “Anthology is a leader in the responsible and impactful use of AI and is now taking the next step by infusing AI into our global services. One of the areas where we can deliver immediate benefit to our customers is helping ensure students receive the support they need to engage and thrive. We can do that through AI-enhanced enrollment and retention services.”

The new platform is designed to offer a more personalised and scalable approach to student support. It will allow institutions to proactively address student needs, aligning with Anthology's stated aim of enhancing the educational experience. By leveraging AWS's infrastructure, Anthology aims to provide a seamless service that supports millions of students across its global network.

Future of student services

Anthology plans to demonstrate the capabilities of its new platform at EDUCAUSE, an annual conference focusing on technology in higher education, which will take place from 21–24 October in San Antonio, Texas. The event will serve as a platform for Anthology to present how AI-powered solutions can support student engagement and retention in educational settings.

In an exclusive statement to EdTech Innovation Hub, Anthology added: “By leveraging AWS and our expertise, we empower schools to anticipate student needs, address challenges more efficiently, and deliver personalised support. This innovation ensures that students receive the right help at the right time, improving their overall experience and success.”
