Transfr launches XR/VR-based career exploration platform for workforce training

VR

Transfr has launched Transfr Trek, a platform integrating extended reality (XR), virtual reality (VR), and mobile learning to expand career exploration opportunities.

The new solution provides career assessments, virtual simulations, and guided coaching, aimed at helping students and adult learners explore job pathways and develop career plans.

Transfr Trek provides an interactive approach designed for middle and high schools, community colleges, workforce development programs, and non-profits. The platform enables learners to engage in career simulations and explore fields such as Electrical Engineering, Nursing, and HVAC.

Bharani Rajakumar, Founder and CEO of Transfr, said:

“There is a widening gap between industry needs, access to career education, and preparedness for the current and future workforce. Transfr is on a mission to strengthen communities and help close this gap through engaging and accessible workforce education programs for all.”

Technology in career exploration

The platform integrates mobile learning and VR-based simulations to offer career exploration, personalized career matching, and virtual coaching. It requires no additional technology beyond a mobile device, making it accessible for a wide range of institutions.

Michele Simmons, Career Development Coordinator for Pender County Schools in North Carolina, said:

"We're expanding our use of career exploration with Transfr Trek because the interactive mobile experiences and VR simulations keep our students engaged and fired up about the career opportunities in front of them. It’s a modern way to introduce students to the future of work and an amazing way to enable their classroom-to-career journey."
