Tennessee Board of Regents partners with YuJa for edtech solutions across 37 colleges

The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), the governing body of the largest system of higher education in Tennessee, has finalised a Master Service Agreement with YuJa, Inc., a leading provider of educational technology solutions.

This agreement, announced on February 7, 2024, enables the 37 community and technical colleges within the TBR system to access YuJa’s suite of ed-tech solutions, which includes the Enterprise Video Platform, YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform, and YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform, under a unified procurement framework.

Designed to streamline the procurement process, this partnership ensures that these institutions can license YuJa’s products at a predictable cost, facilitating budget planning and resource allocation. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the digital infrastructure across Tennessee's community and technical colleges, providing them with tools to improve educational content delivery and accessibility.

YuJa’s Enterprise Video Platform offers functionalities for creating, editing, managing, and distributing digital media. It is integrated with features such as captioning, video quizzing, analytics, and adaptive bitrate streaming, all of which are compatible across various devices. This platform is expected to support the faculty in enriching their instructional materials and engaging students more effectively.

The YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform addresses the need for making digital content accessible to all students, including those with disabilities. It automatically generates accessible versions of documents and offers tools to enhance website accessibility. The platform also includes features to identify and rectify accessibility issues in digital content.

The platform introduces a secure environment for conducting assessments. It features automated and live proctoring capabilities, including AI-enhanced facial recognition for identity verification and a browser lockdown application, aiming to uphold the integrity of the examination process.

YuJa, Inc. has a history of collaboration with several TBR institutions, including Volunteer State Community College, Pellissippi State Community College, and Nashville State Community College. This agreement extends the availability of YuJa’s ed-tech solutions to all community and technical colleges within the TBR system.

Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc., commented on the agreement, “We’re proud to continue to work with the Tennessee Board of Regents. YuJa’s innovative ed-tech solutions have already been deployed within several TBR institutions. Now, all TBR community and technical colleges can use this simplified procurement vehicle to renew or license YuJa’s products.”
