Ascentis and Metaverse Learning collaboration will ‘transform the language learning experience’ says Phil Wilkinson Ascentis CEO

Ascentis and Metaverse Learning have announced the introduction of a new English language learning program utilising virtual reality (VR) and virtual environments. The program is designed to immerse learners in eight different virtual scenarios that simulate real-life situations, such as job interviews, café visits, and doctor's appointments, with the objective of enhancing English language acquisition.

The development of this program aims to address the limitations associated with traditional language learning methods, which often rely on textbooks and audio recordings.

By situating language learning in practical contexts, the program seeks to make the learning process more engaging and effective, utilising immersive technology to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the English language and speed up the acquisition process.

Jason Holt CBE, Co-Founder and CEO of Metaverse Learning, discussed the motivation behind the collaboration: "We identified a need for English language learning in the context of life skills and real situations. It was a natural step to partner with Ascentis to develop immersive learning experiences for ESOL learners. We anticipate expanding our library of language learning-focused immersive programs based on sector feedback."

Phil Wilkinson, CEO of Ascentis, shared his perspective on the partnership: "Ascentis is proud to partner with Metaverse Learning, a company that specialises in immersive digital experiences. This collaboration represents a significant development in the field of education, incorporating VR and AR technologies into Ascentis ESOL courses to transform the language learning experience into something more interactive and effective."

Wilkinson also noted Ascentis's unique offering of the software: "Ascentis is the only awarding organisation providing this innovative software. We are offering complimentary access to all Ascentis ESOL customers, ensuring that learners from diverse backgrounds can access the latest technological advancements and are well-prepared for the digital, globalised world."

"This collaboration will transform the language learning experience," Wilkinson stated.
