Kaltura launches video AI-powered Class Genie for personalized student learning experiences

Kaltura, a video cloud provider, has introduced Class Genie, an AI-powered tool designed to deliver hyper-personalised learning experiences for students. 

The announcement was made during Kaltura’s Connect in Education annual event series.

Class Genie generates tailored educational resources such as video snippets, flashcards, quizzes, podcasts, and knowledge tests. It utilises data from an institution's curated knowledge base. 

The tool aims to address the challenges educators face in delivering individualised support to students within scalable systems.

Ron Yekutiel, Co-Founder, Chairman, President, and CEO of Kaltura, commented:

Designed with privacy in mind, Class Genie operates within an institution's closed-circuit system, ensuring that no student data is shared or repurposed outside its intended use. 

By exclusively relying on trusted institutional data, the tool aims to prevent inaccuracies and provide reliable educational support.

Several institutions have already expressed interest in the tool’s beta program with Purdue University, University of Michigan, and King’s College London—signing up for early integration. These institutions are expected to begin implementing Class Genie into their educational frameworks.

Kaltura’s Class Genie is intended to revitalise the use of educational video content, often left unused after initial creation, by delivering relevant materials to students when needed.
