Accelerate Learning partners with CloudLabs for gamified STEM education in K-12 schools

Accelerate Learning and CloudLabs have announced a partnership to incorporate gamified STEM simulations into K-12 education. This initiative seeks to respond to the increasing demand for interactive and virtual learning experiences in science, mathematics, and other STEM fields, utilising virtual simulations to improve student learning outcomes.

Through this collaboration, Accelerate Learning has introduced CloudLabs Virtual STEM, featuring over 600 simulations and 135 learning units. These virtual labs and activities are designed to simulate real-world challenges, allowing students to apply STEM concepts in practical scenarios. The goal is to enhance students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive learning sequences.

Amanda McGee, Senior Vice President of Curriculum Development and Production at Accelerate Learning, commented on the partnership: "CloudLabs provides a cost-efficient way for districts to bring labs to students. Every simulation presents a different scenario, so students have a wide range of opportunities to see STEM in action and put into practice what they’re learning.”

The integration of CloudLabs Virtual STEM with Accelerate Learning’s digital platform offers several benefits, including real-time feedback and assessments for students. It enables teachers to personalise learning paths based on individual student needs. The platform also includes resources such as video tutorials and guides to support effective laboratory practices.

CloudLabs Virtual STEM is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and aligns with Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and state standards. It is offered as part of Accelerate Learning’s STEM curricula and as a standalone solution.

Jiovany Orozco, CEO and Founder of CloudLabs, highlighted the alignment between the two companies' educational philosophies, stating, “Learning by doing is a core principle at Accelerate Learning, so our platform is the perfect complement to their STEM solutions. Together, we can provide students with robust, meaningful experiences that demonstrate the value and relevance of STEM in the everyday world.”
